Associate Attorney

Position Overview:

We are looking for attorneys to join our team basing out of Juneau, Anchorage, or Fairbanks.

Are you a passionate attorney seeking a rewarding career in a dedicated field? Look no further! 49th Estate Planning, a leading law firm exclusively dedicated to estate planning, is currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team.

As an Associate Attorney at 49th Estate Planning, you will have the opportunity to dive right in supporting clients with their estate plans throughout Alaska. This role is perfect for an experienced attorney looking to transition away from courtroom battles, billable hour pressures, and a scattered legal focus; or a newer attorney looking to get started in this amazing practice area.

We serve clients throughout the State. We currently have an office in Juneau and are expanding to open offices in Anchorage and Fairbanks. We are seeking an attorney who will serve clients in their community, but who is also willing (and eager) to travel to serve communities who have less access to legal services. This travel could be as often as a few days per month.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients to understand their unique needs and goals for estate planning.
Draft and review legal documents related to wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments.
Conduct client meetings to provide guidance and support throughout the planning process.
Work closely with our experienced support staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Embrace technology to enhance the client experience and streamline internal processes.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the Alaska State Bar.
Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for working with people.
Curiosity and empathy to support clients in planning for their incapacity or death.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Experience in estate planning and administration is not required.

Benefits

Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $140,000, depending on experience.
Health care provided after one full month.
Flexible work arrangements for optimal work/life balance. Our standard workweek is 35 hours per week.
